Disclaimer

Please read this entire page if you are considering purchasing an Electric Guitar Pick Guard By clicking through links on this this page you acknowledge you have read and understand everything on this page.

I get a lot of questions about whether or not I have a specific pick guard. I'll try and outline some information on this page and explain the situation the best I can.

While I realize that a lot of text can be a lot to read it is here for the specific reason of informing you of what I have, need or can do for you in terms of making you a pick guard.

First let me say that I do not stock any finished pick guards I make every order custom as it comes into my shop. I do work primarily alone in all aspects so it can take time to complete. See my turnaround time info. here.

If you don't see what you are looking for in this
Electric Guitar Pick Guards section.

That means I don't have it but I can probably still help you. You can either send me an original pick guard or a tracing to duplicate or you can provide a full scale drawing of your own unique design and I can work from that. Please read this linked page about sending me things.

You can also download PDF outlines for most pick guards I offer, cut them out and place them on your guitar for a quick fit check. If one does not fit then you can modify it by either drawing the changes on it or cutting it to shape and submitting it as a mock up for me to work from.

If you have trouble finding or downloading the PDF outline then you can request it by email. I may not have a PDF outline readily available for every pick guard so please be patient. In some cases the PDF will not reflect the exact configuration you are looking for but it should be good enough for an overall fit check.

In addition to PDF outlines I offer laser cut mock ups to send you for fit checking for $5.00

Any new templates that need to be created based off of originals, tracings, custom designs or modified PDF outlines will require a $20.00 template setup fee in addition to the pick guard price.

In some cases people contact me and say they read on a forum that I did a certain pick guard for someone and they question why I do not offer that pick guard now. The reasons can be many but in most cases it is not one that has been
that common based on my experience or I just did not have the time to add it. I like to really road test a template before I can commit to saying it's good for all occasions which in this business can be quite rare.

If you are inquiring about such a situation then you will need to try and track down the persons name I did the job for and I'll do my best to track down the file and get you a digital proof via a PDF file format. If all works out then I will not charge a template fee.

How to determine pick guard price.

Prices for all pick guards are based off of material selection and are pretty much the same for all pick guard shapes I offer. You will need to click through the link at the bottom of this page then click on the link for the specific pick guard
you are interested in. Look at the materials drop down lists to determine price.

Each material in the list has a price indicated next to it which is the price for that pick guard in that material.

What I cannot Do.

I cannot cover all of the bases and create a blanket policy or easy ordering system for every situation. Nor can I keep up will all web site updates for every product at all times for every scenario. What this means is that you may find
certain situations that are not covered or materials not available in a drop down list. Please feel free to contact me after you have read all of the information on this page and I'll do what I can to assist you.

I cannot engrave any standard pick guard materials such as b/w/b etc. or pearls or tortoise of any kind.

What I can Do.

I can add certain graphics to pick guards using my laser engraver but I am very limited to what materials I can engrave. The materials listed in the various materials galleries indicate what can and cannot be engraved and there is also additional information there.

I can also create any of the pick guards I offer with just about any graphic you can provide as shown in my Graphic Pick Guards Sections. Please note that all graphic pick guards are satin matte finish only.

I do not charge any extra for alternate pickup configurations. If you see an area on the site where it wants to charge you for an alternate pickup then email me and we'll work out the order in another way.

Every pick guard has a Special Instructions box where you can type in your specific needs if you cannot find the options you want or they are simply not available.

In the case of specific pickups you want to use you must provide a link to the dimensions for that pickup on the manufacturers web site or provide the exact dimensions in writing in the special instructions box.
